I participated in my first kung fu tournament last saterday. My style of kung fu had it's own division. I only did one thing, I performed a form, Chicken form. Since our school was the only xing yi school in the st louis area, and although many people came from afar, none were xing yi, so we competed alone. There were 3 of us, but it just so happened that none of us competed against each other, so by default we all got gold.
One of our classmates, Johnny, competed in the continuous sparring and took the grand champion spot. Way to go tsunami!
it was fun. a nice way to start the whole tournament thing.
